Day 71

Good evening everyone. Twas another enjoyable day off. I was a bit busier during parts of it than I had been the last few days. I dropped Erin off at work, and then fell back asleep. She normally would work until 1:30 or 2. She went to work at 9, and by 11 they said she was free to go. So she called me, and told me she was getting done, was going to eat, and then would be ready to head out. I fell back asleep. Next thing I know, I got a message saying she was going to walk. I threw on some shoes and ran out to the truck. I think met her half way between the house and her work.

When I got her home, it was 12PM. She went to bed. I got Zoe up, and we watched a few seeker episodes. Then I put on Elmo for Zoe while I went into the kitchen and did some cleaning. I was in there for a while. While I was cleaning, I put 5 eggs in water to boil. Got the kitchen looking much better, and by this point Erin was getting back up. I asked her as I was making a large salad for myself if she wanted 2 hard boiled eggs by them selves or if she wanted a salad too. She said she'd like a salad. So I made 2 salads, with shredded cheese, croutons, bacon bits, and I cut up the hard boiled eggs in both salads. When salads are done like that, it makes the salads so enjoyable compared to when you just do a plain salad with dressing and what not.

Jazzing up the salads like that makes it easy for me to eat healthier, and still feel full. So Erin and I watched a few more seeker episodes, and then she went outside to cut lettuce leafs from the garden. We have a couple of romain lettuce plants outside and they all are doing really well. They had lots of leafs on them. I'm looking forward to having fresh brocoli. Some day when we make our garden much bigger I want to do zuccini and squash. If we could do it big enough, I would love to have a row of corn and okra. :)

When she got that done, it was roughly about 8PM. It was starting to get dark, but wasn't dark yet. I figured if I hurried I could get the lawn done. So I did. When I finished, it was almost completely dark. Thankfully when I did the last stretch of the grass it was light enough so I could see. Then tonight I grilled italian style sausage links and pineapple brats for dinner. I grilled 2 hotdogs stuffed with cheese for Zoe, and then I made boxed scallopped potatos with cheese. It was good. The funny thing about the sausages was that I was certain that when I ordered those at Hyvee, I'm certain it said "Italian Style Brats." Maybe it did and he gave me the wrong one. So I thought I had 2 italian brats and 2 pineapple brats, but nope, just 2 pineapple brats, and 2 italian style sausage links.

I've been much more tired today. When erin went to bed at noon after getting off work, I was tired and had a headache. So I took 2 excedrine. I noticed that after 2 episodes of seeker, i noticed the headache was gone and I felt nice and awake. I would have no problem with staying up for a while because Erin doesn't have to work tomorrow, so we can sleep in, but I have an appointment to drop the truck off to get the tail pipe whelded back onto the catalytic converter, and the new gas tank put on. I'm debating about asking them if they do air-conditioner charging too. If they do and it's cheap, then maybe I will get that done too. I'm not sure. I know that eventually needs to get done, but when I get that done I will need to buy belts and replace a few because whenever I run the air conditioner *even though currently it doesn't cool too much*, sometimes it squeels a bit. That's a sign that a belt is worn.

In closing, it has been a couple of good days off. Spent a lot of time together, and just been trying to relax. Tomorrow I am off until 6PM and then I head back to work. I believe I have monday and tuesday off, but we will see. It sounds like my bosses at securitas didn't have a problem with my idea for what I think the schedule should be when the new guard comes over to replace randy. So I will call that it for tonight. I will write more for you all tomorrow.

Thanks for being here.
