Hello, and welcome to day 68. Wow, day 68? Has it really been that long? Well anyway. Last night at work, instead of continuing where I left off in the sword of truth *which was right after richard had killed denna*, I went back a few chapters and relived the experience again. Basically I read through the moment when Richard was captured by Denna to the moment when he had to kill her because she was unable to let him go.
This morning when I got off, grabbed a bowl of cereal, and went to bed. Erin had to get up probably about 7:30 because she had to get Zoe to the baby sitter's place and then she was scheduled to work at 8:30. She also was going to be driving my truck since her Ford Escape is temporarily out of commision. In the past, when we had one car, the big stress was if that car went down, we were screwed. Thankfully with us both driving, if one goes down, it has been fairly easy to be able to use the other car. That is yet another reason why I love my job and schedule, that when the truck was temporarily out of commission because of having no gas and we were days from pay day, I drove Erin's car for a few nights. This time, she will drive the truck to work whenever she needs to. It's all good. When we both have our degrees, better jobs and more money, I'm sure we will both have slightly newer cars and wont have to worry about anything. I know I intend to drive this old beauty of a truck until I'm able to get a newer one, hopefully a dodge ram quad cab. Otherwise, I'm in no hurry to get rid of it.
So today, I slept pretty late. Erin came home just after 1pm, put zoe down for a nap, and then came in and layed down next to me to go to sleep also. My dreams were insane last night. I remember 3 individual parts, each from different dreams. One dream, I was suddenly in this what appeared to be a Semi-truck cab. I wasn't driving, someone else was. I believe it was a guy, because I was chatting with him, but I don't remember his face. Something was different about the truck. Almost like a convertable, he hit a switch and the top of the truck cab lifted off and laid back behind. So basically, we were in a semi truck cab with no roof, wind blowing all around us. He then sped up and we must have been going 100 or so.
There was a turn off, but then there was this dirt path that he followed instead. I was like "Dude! What the hell are you doing! It dead ends into a canyon or something!!" He was like "I know right! It'll be killer!" Before I could say anything else, we rammed something, and we went air born for what seemed like minutes. We came down on the front end of the truck, almost tipping end over end but thankfully we didnt. We bounced a few times, and smashed and stopped on the edge of a rock wall, just before we were to go over into a deeper section. I was still in the truck, but he was thrown. It didn't phase him, even though he got stuck. I ran over to him and slugged him in the face "You fucker! what the hell you thinking!" He knocked me back down, and another guy, whom I guess was in the back of the truck with us, came up, knocked the driver down, literally tied him up where he was, said "he's right bro. You really did it this time. We're leaving without you." And we left. Next thing I know, it was the next dream.
A lot of water was involved, and although I didn't see the details, a few people got crushed. Or at least, squished by heavy objects on top of them. Whether they died, or if they just stayed there, I don't know. The next thing I know, I thought I was waking up. I remember sitting up suddenly, thinking "it feels late, what time is it?" I looked over at the alarm clock, "6:34PM" I panicked, thinking "shit!" I was scheduled to work at 6:00. I ran around getting dressed, grabbed the phone to call securitas to tell them I was running late, etc, and I had the strangest feeling. The feeling made me think "This doesn't feel right, I wouldn't sleep that late!" And then I sat up in bed again, everything looking exactly as it had a few minutes earlier, and I looked at the clock again. "4:05PM." PHEW!
So I think I will end on that note. Thanks to you all for being here and I will write more for you all tomorrow.
